Is my trainer certified through one of these certifying organizations?

Does my trainer know and follow the Humane Hierarchy of training or LIMA principles?

Does my trainer use and advocate for the use of treats in training?

Does my trainer primarily use adversatives (such as citronella spray, shock collars, choke chains, prong collars, etc.) or dominance/alpha theory in their training program?

Most dogs value food and will happily comply with training for a small treat. Depending on what your dog likes best, you can use attention and toys as well! Always reward the behavior you want to encourage!
