The Training Studio

Advanced Training

Due to our small class sizes enrollment is open until a class fills. It may sometimes be necessary to delay our start date. If the class you want is not currently active you can register now to reserve your spot on the roster; payment is not due until the class has an official start date.

In an effort to make everyone feel comfortable during the transition back to in-person training, we will adopt safety measures in accordance with CDC regulations.

  1. Masks are required at all times in the studio. Please maintain a distance of at least 6 feet apart.

  2. If you arrive early for class, please remain in your car. When coming inside, please maintain a minimum of 10 feet from any other dog/person teams.

  3. Hand sanitizer will be available at the studio.

Expecting Paw-Rents Class

Expecting a new bundle of joy to join your family soon? While you prepare yourself for life with a new baby, it’s important we prepare our pups for this life change as well. To many of our four legged furkids at home, bringing a new baby into the home can bring about a lot of change, and that can be pretty overwhelming. There’s suddenly a squirmy new attachment to their guardian, and along with that comes an unpredictable routine and new unfamiliar suspicious sounds, smells, and movements. The good news is that we can help our dogs to feel safe and comfortable while supporting them through this transition by preparing them beforehand! This class is specifically designed to provide our Expecting Pawrents and their dogs with confident life skills in preparation for baby’s homecoming, so that you can rest assured that everyone in the home is ready for your exciting new chapter. Throughout our class we’ll be covering skills such as:

  • Management to prepare our pups for “Inclusion without Interaction”

  • Introduction to baby items & sounds (stroller, toys, crying, etc)

  • Practice practical life skills while handling a “baby” to ensure consistent, reliable responses from our dogs

  • Fun hacks & parent guided activities to keep your four legged kiddo included throughout your day

  • Become a master observer of your dog’s body language to prevent uncomfortable interactions between dog & baby

  • Preparing for baby’s homecoming & milestones as they grow
